According to UNWTO reports, Turkey, which ranks 4th in the number of tourists and 7th in total tourism revenue, increased its per capita tourist income from 670 dollars to 820 dollars.
While ranking 6th in the world with 51.19 million tourists in 2019, Turkey increased its share in the number of tourists from 3 percent to 5 percent by rising to 4th place in 2022, leaving China and Italy behind, and in terms of revenue, while ranking 12th with $ 34.3 billion in 2019, in 2022 it left countries such as China, Germany, Japan, Australia and Thailand behind and entered the list of the 10 countries with the highest tourism revenue in the world from 7th place. It also increased its share in world tourism revenue from 2 percent to 4 percent.
