Speaking at the African Climate Summit in the capital Nairobi, organized in partnership with the African Union and the Kenyan government to promote green growth and climate finance solutions for Africa and the world, Kenyan President William Ruto pointed out that Kenya was home to the first human settlements.
Ruto said that it would not be right to ask for visas from visitors and that they plan to abolish all visas in a few months in his country, which is the home of all humanity, and has abolished visas with many countries since he took office. Most tourists come to Kenya from the USA, Uganda, Tanzania, the UK and India.
Ruto had previously announced that he would grant visa exemption to all Africans. At the end of the African Climate Summit, the Nairobi Declaration, which includes a plan for Africa's transition to green energy, is planned to be published.
