The world's best hotels are announced!

The Top 50 Hotels list, determined by a jury of 600 anonymous travel journalists, experts and hoteliers from around the world, was announced at an event in London on Tuesday 17 September.

Capella Bangkok in the Thai capital topped the list for the second time this year. Opened in 2020 amid the pandemic, Capella Bangkok offers visitors a 5-star experience in Charoenkrung, Thailand's oldest neighbourhood. Each of the property's 101 spacious and light-filled rooms has its own garden and pool. The hotel, which starts at $ 600 per night, entered the 2023 list in 11th place. 

While Thailand's capital Bangkok brought three more hotels into the top 50, Asian countries stand out in this year's list. Seven hotels from the continent made it into the top 10, while Passalacqua, which ranked Italy first last year, came second this year.
While the hotels operating in Turkey did not make it to the list this year, The Peninsula Istanbul, which overlooks the Bosphorus and came to the fore with the closure of the coast line with a pool, was awarded the Hotel to Watch award. The expert team that created the list gives this award to the facilities that have the potential to enter the top 50 in the future. Opened in 2023, The Peninsula Istanbul consists of 4 interconnected buildings, one of which was built in 1937. The hotel's nightly rate starts from 1050 euros.
