As of 18 March, changes will be made in the appointment system, Germany's foreign missions in Turkey stated in a statement that the appointment process will be carried out in two steps.
According to the statement, in the first stage, applicants will have to register on the appointment waiting list and receive an e-mail notification. In the second stage, they will receive the date notification required for the visa application to be submitted through the external service provider iDATA.
Appointments will only be allocated according to the chronological order of appointment registrations and there will no longer be a need for time-consuming searches to find available appointments. In the statement made by Germany's foreign missions in Turkey, it was stated that this new registration option will take effect as of 1 March 2024.
In the statement regarding the issues to be considered while making a Schengen visa appointment, it was stated that as of 18 March 2024, appointments will only be made through the appointment system on the website of Germany's foreign representations in Turkey, and it was recommended to get information about the application in advance. In addition, it was stated that information such as application form, documents to be submitted, appointment schedule, etc. are available on the official websites, and that there is a separate information form for applying for a Schengen visa for EURO 2024.
In the statement made by the foreign representations of Germany in Turkey, it was reminded that appointments for visa applications are assigned according to the chronological order of the records in the appointment waiting list for the application of the external service provider iDATA, and that the appointment registration is always free of charge, but a prepayment of 1.000,00 TL is required to confirm the appointment for the purpose of visa application, and that it is not necessary to apply to an agency or intermediary company to make an appointment.
