Another European city has joined the alcohol ban and restrictions imposed to prevent riots in major cities such as Milan and Brussels, which receive the most tourists in Europe.
Spain, which is among the countries hosting the most tourists in the world, has banned the consumption of alcohol in public areas in the islands of Majorca and Ibiza, which are at the forefront of tourism, while sales have also been restricted. In line with the new decision, those caught with open bottles on the street, on the pavement, on the beach can be fined between 500 and 1,500 Euros.
While the sale of alcohol between 21:30 and 08:00 is also prohibited, shops selling alcohol will close at 21:30.
Although it is not enough to keep the alcohol shelf closed, these markets will also be among the closed shops.
While the owners of alcoholic restaurants, which do not impose any restrictions, are satisfied with this practice, it is a matter of curiosity how the decision will affect tourism.
