According to a calculation made by tourism FM from the updated Facility Statistics data of the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the number of hotels certified by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in Turkey increased to 20 thousand 168 and the number of hotel beds to 1 million 781 thousand 377 in August 2023.
When the hotels in the investment phase are added, the total number of beds reached 1 million 947 thousand 717, while the number of active hotels in Antalya reached 2492 and the number of hotel beds approached 612 thousand in August. The total number of hotels in Istanbul reached 2835 and the number of hotel beds reached 239 thousand.
On the other hand, there are 2618 facilities in Muğla, which has more than 216 thousand beds, and 1680 accommodation facilities in İzmir, which has more than 80 thousand beds.
Aydın, which has over 55 thousand beds, has 462 hotels, followed by Balıkesir, Ankara, Mersin, Nevşehir and Çanakkale.
