One of Turkey's major tourism destinations in Aydın Kuşadası district of Davutlar Mahallesi Menderes Caddesi, which touts itself as an animal-friendly hotel. No:195 in Kuşadası address of the 5-star Seven For Life Thermal Hotel which is operating in the lobby of the facility named seven for life thermal hotel, it was revealed that the cats were slaughtered in accordance with the instructions of the hotel management.
In the 5-star Seven For Life Thermal Hotel, which claims to be animal-friendly, the hotel management asked the staff to collect the cats because foreign tourists were disturbed by the cats taking shelter in the lobby of the 5-star seven for life thermal hotel in Davutlar, Kuşadası, where a cat massacre took place, the scandalous images recorded by a citizen with a mobile phone camera shocked animal lovers.
A few cats who took shelter in the hotel in cold weather were stuffed into a sack and thrown into the garbage because a foreign guest was disturbed, and it was learnt that all of the cats who were seriously injured during the capture died. Some animal lovers stated that the slaughter of cats is unacceptable and instead, options such as sterilisation and adoption under veterinary supervision should be implemented.
While the images in the video taken by an animal-friendly guest brought animal lovers to their feet, some hotel customers wrote about this situation on international websites and complained about the 5-star Seven For Life Thermal Hotel and its management.
