An 18-year-old unnamed British tourist on vacation in Crete, Greece, was attacked by two men while sunbathing on a sun lounger.
According to the information obtained about the sickening incident, 2 men approached the 18-year-old British tourist girl while she was sunbathing on the beach of Rethymno in the north of Crete. When the young woman was uncomfortable with the men and wanted to get up, the two men tied her to the sunbed and raped her.
The British female tourist, who reported the situation to the police immediately after the horrible attack on the Greek island, told the Rethymno court in tears how two men tied her to a sun lounger and raped her, while the teams investigating the incident identified 2 suspects in a short time. While the incident in which two men raped the woman whose arms and feet were tied to the sun lounger caused great outrage in the country, the attackers were identified as two Pakistani immigrant men aged 27 and 24.
Once identified, the two Pakistani immigrants confessed to the rape in court, although at the time of their arrest they said the victim had consented to sexual intercourse. They were sentenced to life imprisonment and will serve time in a prison in Tripoli, Greece. A similar incident took place in the same area in July last year and the perpetrators were identified as Pakistani migrants.
