According to the news of Tourism FM, the first and only news radio of the tourism sector, the portfolio of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts in Turkey, which is the world's largest franchised hotel company with approximately 9,150 hotels in more than 95 countries worldwide and has approximately 111 hotels in 43 cities in Turkey, consists of facilities offering accommodation options from economy to the highest segment in more than 43 cities and favourite visiting points.
Dimitris Manikis, EMEA President of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, which is the largest international hotel group in Turkey in terms of the number of facilities and continues to grow in our country, said that they have 111 hotels in 43 cities in Turkey, and within the framework of their growth plans, they aim to close 2024 with 130 hotels and reach 150 hotels by the end of 2025. Pointing out that the state in Turkey attaches importance to the development of secondary and tertiary cities, and that hotel investments will increase as these cities develop, Manikis said the following in his statement to Tourism FM:
''We have around 9,150 hotels worldwide, 95 per cent of which are franchises. 10 of our 25 brands are located in Turkey. When we look at the Turkish market, we are planning to bring the life style Vienna House, which we think can adapt to the market, and Dolce brands with upper segment meeting hotel or resort concept to Turkey in 2024. The accommodation sector does not only consist of foreign visitors; we also need to look at the local economy. Batman and Diyarbakır are also in our focus. During the great earthquake disaster centred in Kahramanmaraş, hotels became the gathering place of those regions. Therefore, we will continue to be there. 50 billion dollars will be spent for the reconstruction of the earthquake zone, and accommodation will also be needed there. Turkey is a country that has overcome more crises than any other country in Europe, a nation that works with passion. THY plays an important role in the development and promotion of tourism in Turkey and new records will be set in 2024.''
Wyndham Hotels Resorts EMEA President Dimitris Manikis, who reminded that the 3 largest low cost airlines in Europe are planning to have a very good year in 2024 and noted that he thinks that the occupancies in 2024 could be the best occupancies in the last 5 years, said that they will open a hotel in almost every city in Turkey this year and that they are planning to open in Ankara and Eskişehir within a month.
