Alarko Holding CEO Ümit Nuri Yıldız emphasized that Turkey will be in a much better position in 2024 after the elections, regardless of the outcome, and that they have seen many crises over the years and that Turkey has come out of them all stronger, and that the country has a great potential and that it is an opportunity to invest in this period. Emphasizing that there may be a rally in exchange rates and interest rates after the election, but that they expect this to be short-lived, Yıldız continued as follows:
''There is talk about whether Turkey will become Argentina. Turkey has gone through difficult periods in the past, but it has never fallen into default. Even if there is a rally for a short time, it will stabilize. I believe that there will be an inflow of hot money into Turkey in the second half of the year. In this process, we will continue our tourism investments. The occupancy rate of our hillside beach club hotel within the group has never fallen below 80 percent. With an investment of 120 million dollars, our hillside hotel investment in Bodrum Gündoğan, which has a capacity of 820 beds and will serve under the Hillside brand, will be completed in October 2024.''
Alarko Holding CEO Ümit Nuri Yıldız stated that they are also conducting research in the Maldives and that they intend to buy a hotel in the region:
"We want to become a Hillside hotel group with 4-5 hotels by 2030. we will spread our tourism revenues to 12 months by being located in different locations and we aim to buy at least one new hotel in the next three years in addition to our ongoing hotel investment in Bodrum together with Alarko Real Estate Investment Partnership in our tourism business line.''
